I'm a painter/designer/facepainter/illustrator and photographer from The Netherlands. Born 25th of March 1965. Husband, father of two kids, walking two dogs every day three to four times.

I use both traditional and digital media. Now and then I take a commission in paintings, art- and portraitphotography, productphotography, conceptdeveloping, stationary design, textiledesign, styledevelopement for theather/ and dance events and anything that sparks my inspiration and creativity.

I feel I've reached some degree of expertise but are always hungry and eager to get to a higher level at any field. There is still much to gain when i take a look at what many fellow DA member are capable of. Though i can be enchanted by my own creations , it usually lasts only a short period when I start to long for making new work. It's a cruel yet endlesslessly captivating talent I pursue to master. I think many of you would agree there with me or the other way round. When read about artist that paved ways in earlier times I start to recognize more and more what they try to convey to the world. Painting is such sweet sorrow;)
I'm widely interested in many artforms, science and nature, philosophy and psychology and get my inspiration from people, music, stories&books, other art and life's experiences. I'm a big fan of having humour in my creations though it doesn't always show.
I hope to create art with some degree of depth and integrity. And to now and then, move and/or inspire the observer.
Apart from that I try to hand out advice to anyone who needs it. And I'm also happy to receive it, if someone has good indea's for me.

A few years ago I started to educate myself in facepainting. It has developed to a stage where I get many invitations to perform at parties and events. Since my children a getting a bit more selfsupporting, I'm getting more time to create and grow.

Since 2 years I'm working closely together with someone with whom I share both creativity and collegiality.
Apart from that I'm building a network of people whom I trust and admire for their expertise in many fields such as photography and dressmaking. Some of them are here too.

Favourite genre of music: whatever is deviant, orbital, planet x, kate Bush, movie and documentaryscores, experimental, some classical, lately dubstep came to my attention
Favourite photographer: ao Anne peters, erwin olaf, anton corbijn
Favourite style of art: many, many many... I need to see a 'story' and feel the verve in it.
Operating System: coffee in the morning, brains kick in after that.
MP3 player of choice: some ancient stereo that plays mp3
Shell of choice: haven't a clue what this is
Wallpaper of choice: varies mainly my own photographs
Skin of choice: same here, no idea
Favourite cartoon character: Felix the cat all the southpark inhabitants, mitch bender, prof. Kweezar
